The Martyrdom of Imam al-Husayn

The prophets of Allah exemplified patience when calling to Islam.

The honorable companions and Muslim relatives of the Prophet ﷺ followed their footsteps sacrificing their lives in defending the true religion that Allah ordered us to follow.

▪Imam Husayn [الحسين ], may Allah raise his rank, the beloved grandson of the Prophet, exemplified this methodology. When he saw that someone was unfit to manage Muslim affairs and wanted to take over rulership without acceptance from the people of virtuousness and without being paid allegiance from the people appropriate for that, al-Husayn publicly rejected that and did not remain silent from upholding the truth.

He did not compromise Islamic principles and the greater good. He ordered the good and forbade the unlawful. As a result of his stance, he was killed unjustly. He gained martyrdom and a high status.
