FaaTimah الزهراء The Radiant

FaaTimah, the daughter of Prophet MuHammad ﷺ.

Her mother is the Mother of the Believers, Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid رضي الله عنها.

She was born approximately five years before the Prophethood.

She was titled “Az-Zahraa” because she was the flower of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ and she was his youngest daughter.

She married Imam ^Aliyy ibn Abee Taalib رضي الله عنه

FaaTimah gave birth to five children: Hasan, Husayn, Umm Kulthoom, Zaynab, and MuHsin. رضي الله عنهم

She passed away six months or slightly less after the death of the Prophet, on the night of Tuesday, three days into the month of RamaDaan in the eleventh year. She was buried at night, and al-^Abbaas prayed over her, with Aliyy and al-FaDl descending into her grave.

In reference to lady FaaTimah, رضي الله عنها “Az-Zahraa” (الزهراء) means “The Radiant” or “The Luminous.” It signifies her purity, brightness, and exceptional character, reflecting her esteemed status and beloved nature as the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ.
