Muslims in the grave are of two kinds:

▪️One type experience enjoyments in the grave. Their graves are widened and illuminated. These are the obedient and forgiven Muslims and among them are the martyrs.

▪️The other type are the sinful Muslims whom Allah did not forgive. They will be tortured in their graves for a certain period, but not till the Day of Judgement.

▪️The non-believers will be tortured in their graves continually until their bodies decay. Then their souls will be taken to a place in the seventh earth where they will be tortured till the Day of Judgement.

Note: Allah protected the bodies of Prophets from getting decayed when buried in the earth.

《إنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ عَلى الأَرْضِ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ أَجْسَادَ الأَنْبِيَاء》

It was mentioned that the Prophets are alive praying in their graves
