The Immigration of our Beloved Prophet

الهجرة النبوية
Part 5

When the Prophet and Abu Bakr reached the cave of Thawr, the Prophet’s companion said to the one whom he loved, may peace and blessings be upon him, 🌹 “I swear by the One Who sent you with the truth, you will only enter the cave after me. That way if there is something harmful inside, it will afflict me rather than afflicting you.”🌹

He entered and did not see anything, then the Prophet entered.

It is narrated that there was a hole and Abu Bakr feared that something would come out of it and harm the Prophet, so he blocked it with his foot. A snake bit and harmed our Master Abu Bakr to the point that his tears ran down but he would not move his foot.

When men from Quraysh arrived to the entrance of the cave, Abu Bakr said, “O Messenger of Allah, if one of them looks down he would see us.” The Prophet replied:
يا أبا بكر ما ظنّك باثنين الله ثالثهما
which means O Abu Bakr, what do you say about two people that Allah knows about them, protects and supports them.

The Immigration of our Beloved Prophet*

*الهجرة النبوية*
Part 4

The Prophet ﷺ chose his beloved companion Abu Bakr to immigrate with him.
Abu Bakr sometimes walked in front of the Prophet and sometimes behind him. When the Prophet asked him why he was doing that, he replied :“I think of those pursuing us, so I stand behind you, and I think of what maybe harmful ahead of us so then I stand in front of you”.

Then Abu Bakr said:

“I swear by Allah if there was a misfortune to happen then I’d love for it to happen to me instead of it happening to you”.

Part 3

Angel Jibreel came and informed the Prophet of the blasphemers’ plan to kill him and told him not to sleep in his bed.

The Prophet told our master ^Aliyy to sleep in his place and to cover himself with the green covering he used. ^Aliyy did as the Prophet asked, and returned the items that people had kept with the Prophet for safekeeping to their owners, as the Prophet had ordered.

Then the Prophet came out to where the blasphemers were waiting to harm him, reciting from the Qur’an:

{وجعلنا من بين أيديهم سدًا ومِن خلفهم سدًا فأغشيناهم فهم لا يُبصرون}
Allah made the blasphemers’ eyes unable to see the Prophet, who sprinkled on their heads from the soil that he had in his hand, and indeed they did not see the honorable Prophet.

Part 2

The Prophet’s stand was firm. As a result, the blasphemers (non-Muslims) conspired to kill him, gathering from each tribe a strong man so that they all would strike him at once with the strike of one man, thus dispersing his blood amongst the various tribes so his tribe Quraysh would not take revenge.

Note
The Immigration of the Prophet peace be upon him was not an act of cowardice in facing the enemy; rather, it was a migration fulfilling the orders of Allah.

It is impossible for the Prophets to be attributed with cowardice since they are the bravest of God’s creations.

The Prophet peace be upon him migrated from Makkah to Madinah after having stayed in Makkah for 13 years calling the people to worship Allah only. He faced dangers and difficulties patiently relying on Allah.

Part 1

The Messenger of Allah called people to Islam, the Religion of all prophets.
The honorable Prophet called people to justice and doing good deeds and having honorable manners. He endured many hardships when spreading his call.

Despite his people deceptively harming him, he was steadfast in his call to them. They threw stones at him, but he was patient and continued calling them to worship Allah. Money and high position were offered to him but he remained steadfast. He was threatened to be killed but did not back down from calling people to Islam.

Zam zam Water

The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ
said: “The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for.”

It is recommended to drink Zamzam water, so whoever has a need should drink Zamzam water with the intention of fulfilling their need, due to the special quality of this water. Whoever wishes to drink Zamzam water should say when drinking it: “O Allaah, it has reached me that Your Prophet ﷺ said: ‘The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for.’ O Allaah, I drink it seeking healing, so heal me and forgive me. O Allaah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, accepted deeds, abundant provision, and healing from every disease and illness.”
