in Islamic theology, the term “anthropomorphism” refers to the attribution of human characteristics, qualities, or forms to God (Allah). This includes the belief that Allah has a physical body or is in a specific location, such as sitting on the Throne (Arsh). Such beliefs are considered contrary to the Islamic understanding of Tawhid (the oneness of God).
Islamic scholars across various schools of thought emphasize that Allah is beyond human comprehension and unlike any of His creation, as stated in the Quran what means: “There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” (Surah Ash-Shura, 42:11).
Therefore, asserting that Allah has a body is rejected in mainstream Islamic doctrine.
